David Geurts is an advisor at Deltares focusing on the topics of maritime policy, water governance, and stakeholder engagement. Throughout his professional career, he has worked at multiple organizations focusing on facilitating processes of stakeholder engagement. David has extensively studied the governance system and stakeholder networks of the North Sea. Together with Sharon Tatman, he will serve as pilot lead for the North Sea pilot, guiding the co-design process to develop future pathways for addressing climate-related hazards across the greater North Sea region.
